So… I’m just getting over the flu, or something. Whatever it was, it kicked my butt for a few days for sure. I sit in my office tired, sore, unmotivated and did I mention tired? Cooper, my Bull Mastiff pictured above, was not thrilled about his bath this weekend but he didn’t have to be “motivated” to do it, I forced him. It was time. As a business owner I don’t have someone sitting me down forcing me to do the things that need to get done.
What an UGLY word unmotivated is. I AM motivated to help my clients. I AM motivated to study. I AM motivated to go get a cup of my wife’s delicious home made chicken soup, I’m just not motivated to do the paperwork sitting on my desk like billing, taxes, opening my mail from the past two days etc. I have a few tricks to help me “get motivated” to do the things I just don’t want to do but I am more interested in hearing how you lift yourself out of a funk.
So, how do you motivate yourself to get things done when you just don’t feel like doing them??
